About

Hello and welcome! I am Nise Dreamweaveaver, and I’m so happy you’re here. On my blog, you will find SimLit written by me including short stories, pen pal letters from my Sims to their pen friends, my ongoing Magnum Opus, Forever in Time, and much, much more.

You can easily navigate to other sections of this blog whether you are reading on a PC or mobile device. Just either tap the menu bar on your device or use your mouse to click on the different choices at the top of every page. You will also find important info and extras at the bottom of each page. Each section is divided into categories so you can easily find posts for what story you want to read.

Just a little suggestion – before reading Forever in Time, navigate to Lenora’s Bachelorette challenge first because Lenora’s backstory is told in the Prologue Chapters. Her Bachelorette Challenge tells how she fell in love with and married her husband.

As a general warning, my stories sometimes contain rough language, occasional R-rated material, and/or sensitive issues. Forewarned is forearmed. I do my best to make sure appropriate content warnings are placed at the beginning of the chapters.

Beliefs and viewpoints of characters may not be the same beliefs and viewpoints the author adheres to in true life. My stories contain characters with different personalities, walks of life, viewpoints, and life circumstances that effect how they act, think, believe, and feel. In other words, my characters may say or do something hinky or unlikable that this author would not condone or approve of in real life. Should that happen, it’s not a personal slight against any reader. Appropriate content warnings will be placed at the beginning of such chapters, so read at your own discretion.

Any references to historical events, real people, or real locales are used fictitiously. Other names, characters, places, and incidents are the product of the author’s imagination, and any resemblance to actual events or locales or persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental.

This is a drama free zone, so please respect fellow viewers, readers, and the author when commenting. With that said, I love Likes on my posts, and your comments are so greatly appreciated.

Stories on my blog are illustrated with Sims 3. I own all EP’s, SP’s, probably 99.9% of the Sims 3 Store, and I use a lot of custom content and Mods. Poses are my best friends, and I am truly in awe at the talent and effort pose creators are so willing to share. My stories would not be the same if these wonderful creations were not available to us.

Things that will be arriving here soon are a Credits page with CC and Pose websites I use. I like to give credit where credit is due. As stated above, we would be lacking a lot if there weren’t wonderful CC creators and pose makers out there. I’ll also be adding to my Supernatural Lore section and constantly updating my Cast of Characters page.

Now, a little about me.

I’m a total Sims enthusiast but came late to the party. That’s the story of my life – I’m always late to the party. Haha. But seriously, I started playing Sims 3 in 2011, and that was the game I learned on. Since then, I’ve come to love other Sims games, but TS3 will always be my go-to game, I’m sure. So far, it’s the game I use to illustrate my stories although I may, at some point, venture out into illustrating with Sims 4. Anyway, I started out just loving the game and then became a Sims Let’s Player on YouTube. I don’t do that as much anymore but will still make the occasional video. I’ve switched my focus over to writing and reading SimLit and haven’t turned back. I think it’s a fantastic tool to use for storytelling, and my characters feel so much more personal and real to me when I can actually see them in front of me and stage them for screenshots. I started writing SimLit in 2014 and love it!

I’m certainly no spring chicken but at times, I’m young at heart. I love grown-up books, movies, old TV shows, but there are times when I’m in the mood to watch a Disney movie or a few episodes of the Flintstones. I know, I know. I’m such a little kid. 😀 Oh well. There are worse things to be, right?

I’ve been married for almost 29 years to my husband. We’re empty nesters except for the canine crew we call Three Dog Night. We say that because we’re back to being a three dog family, which happened in 2021. For a while, it was just us and my beautiful Golden Retriever Alexander Graham Bell (yep, that’s his full name), Alex for short or sometimes Alexander. I have a very profound visual impairment, having just a bit of eyesight in my right eye. It can make things kinda tough at times, but I’m very blessed and fortunate. It could have been a lot worse. Thankfully, I can see well enough to play with my Simmies although my gameplay is probably a lot slower than most, and it sometimes takes me a hot minute to locate something. I mention this because Alex is my current guide dog, being my 4th one. I’ve been a graduate of Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester, Michigan since 1992. Like I said, I’m no spring chicken. 😀

Things I love beside writing fiction, in general, and playing Siims are reading, singing (I’m a professional vocalist), music (well, naturally, as I’m a singer), knitting and crocheting, journal keeping, and scrapbooking. I’m a total fountain pen enthusiast and have been collecting both modern and vintage fountain pens since 2014. I’m teaching myself how to spin wool into yarn (the hubs got me a beautiful spinning wheel for Christmas in 2020). I also play the flute and a little piano and taught private music lessons from 1995 up until 2016 or so. I did enjoy that but have since retired from it. I’m also a Lions Club member and have been since 1993. I have a BA in Music with a Minor in English.

I’m a pretty laid back kind of gal most of the time but can build up a good head of steam if a situation yanks my chain. I’m my own worst critic and sometimes suffer bouts of self-doubt. But I work hard on whatever I’m doing and try to put out things like story chapters and performances to the best of my ability.

So, there you have it, my friends. This page will probably be updated and reworked from time to time so if you visit my blog a lot, don’t be surprised by any changes.

I hope you enjoy my contribution to the world of SimLit as much as I love writing it. Thank you all so much for reading, following, Liking, and commenting.
